Khaled has over 25 years in industry and academia, combining evidence-based consultancy and practical solutions.

He has led the development of new designs and materials in concrete pavements, which were implemented in the UK DMRB, and assessment of concrete durability and specifications for major structure projects in the UK.

Khaled delivered various projects internationally, including the use of recycled materials in the UK and Qatar, and value engineering in India. Currently, he is the Managing Director of IRD, and acting as the Chairman of the solid waste group in the Qatar Green Building Council.
