Vijay has over 28 years’ experience in the railway and highway industries and a track record of successful delivery of technical projects and strategic programmes of research for clients including the DfT, HE, ORR, Network Rail, RSSB and the EU. In her last position as Head of Rail in the infrastructure Division at TRL, Vijay was responsible for developing rail expertise within the division, including identifying and prioritising research needs, developing innovative solutions and implementation plans to deliver a step change in the transport industry,formulating strategic business cases to progress innovative research outcomes to higher Technology Readiness Levels.Vijay is well respected within the transport research community and participates in many forums and working groups, to promote,advance and implement high quality and robust transport research in the industry.
