Professor Eugene OBrien

Director of Research Driven Solutions

Eugene OBrien is Professor of Civil Engineering at University College Dublin. He is expert in Bridge Health Monitoring and in the quantification of Bridge Traffic Loading and was the founding President of the International Society for Weigh-in-Motion.

Eugene has written books on Reinforced Concrete Design, Bridge Deck Analysis and Bridge Traffic Loading and is author of more than 400 scientific papers.

In 2016, he founded Research Driven Solutions whose goal is to use academic research results to find innovative solutions to Engineering problems.
